We develop and calculate customer designed optical systems and components. Examples are lenses for endoscopes, compact lenses for CCD - cameras, lenses for imaging (telecentric too), tube lenses, UV lenses and illumination systems. In addition we develop special solutions such as an optical system for rain detectors and Fresnel lenses for motion detectors. Manfred Throl has developed optical systems and components since 1976. In 1996 he founded his company Manfred Throl Optische Systeme. In 1997 the company has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001. Karin Boeker-Throl is another director since 1.1.2000 after she worked in optical industry for more than ten years. At Throl optics she is responsible for accounting and management. We are member of Optence e.V., Förderverein Wetzlar - Stadt der Optik e.V., Industrienetzwerk Region Wetzlar – Optik Elektronik Mechanik e.V. , of DGaO and of SPIE. We changed our company name to Throl optics GmbH in 2010.
